Looking for a goofy, lovable, big-hearted pup to add to your family? Say hello to Maverick! At just 6 months old and already tipping the scales at 65 lbs, this American Bully mix is built like a tank—but he has no clue. In his mind, he’s a lap dog… and yes, he will try to prove it!

Maverick is a joyful, wiggly ball of love who just wants to play, cuddle, and be by your side. He’s still learning his manners, but this smart cookie is catching on quickly—thanks to his deep love of snacks! He's already learning not to jump or countersurf, and he’s mastered “sit” and waiting patiently for his meals. On leash, he’s doing awesome with a prong collar and walks are quickly becoming one of his favorite activities.

Maverick would thrive with someone who has the time to give him proper exercise and continue his obedience training. He’s an eager learner who loves to work for treats and praise—he's still a pup who just needs someone to guide him as he grows into his best self. One of Maverick’s absolute favorite things in the world? Kids. He lights up around them! Because he’s still growing into his big ol’ body and can be a bit clumsy, he’d do best in a home with older kids (elementary age and up). He’s also been polite and playful with other dogs his size.

Maverick isn’t much of a barker—when he does let one out, he surprises even himself! He rides like a champ in the car and loves tagging along with his foster family wherever they go. He just wants to be near his people—preferably snuggled right on top of them.

A fenced-in yard would be a dream come true for Maverick—this boy loves to run, stretch out in the grass, and show off his new favorite trick: fetch! Watching him flop down with his little frog legs and big goofy grin is guaranteed to make your day. He’s kennel trained, sleeps peacefully through the night, and takes treats with the gentlest mouth.
